Success Story: Willow
Success Story: Willow
Willow is a beautiful senior cat who was surrendered to us when her owner could no longer care for her. While she was a bit shy at first, she was quick to warm up and was very sweet. Her challenges were more on the medical end. And the stress of the transition didn’t help – wreaking havoc on her gastrointestinal system.
We quickly pivoted and got Willow into a great foster home to see if that could help. Though immediately much more comfortable, she was still not well. We then worked with our partners at VCA to set up multiple appointments for xrays, bloodwork and other diagnostics. Her fosters diligently took her for those appointments, as well as worked with us to try multiple diets with multiple feeding times and administer various medications. After some troubleshooting, a fair bit of logistics and a lot of TLC, Willow’s fosters were able to get her back in good health… and then they adopted her!
Per Willow’s mom, Perri:
What we love most about Willow is her unexpected cuddliness. She is happiest curled up on our laps… or taking up way too much of the bed at night. She’s quiet, loving company, and she brings so much joy into our home.
