Foster a Cat or Kittens in Need

Baypath Humane Kitten

Kitten Foster

As a kitten foster, you can play a critical role in saving lives of mother cats and their kittens as well as orphaned kittens. Young kittens are susceptible to infection and it’s not safe for them to stay in a busy shelter environment. We need volunteers who can care for kittens in their home and provide them with TLC until the kittens are old enough to be adopted.

Ideal fosters/foster families:

  • We need all types of homes – and those with kids, cats, dogs, or some combination thereof are great so that the kittens can get as much socialization as possible.
  • We needs homes committed to helping kittens have a multitude of all-positive  experiences to best set them up for success!

Socialization Foster

We also need foster families to care for cats and kittens who are shy, scared, and/or have a tough time adjusting to shelter life. Providing them with a temporary home helps improve their physical and mental well-being, and increased their chances of a successful adoption.

We will help guide you in the various ways to afford these cats all-positive experiences – from reading to them and playing relaxing music to providing interactive play sessions to help them reduce stress and gain confidence.
