Partnerships Strengthen & Expand Our Mission
2023 has already proven to be a fruitful year in terms of strengthening our local, regional, national and international partnerships. In addition to working collaboratively with local animal control partners, regional humane alliances, national transporters and world-renowned global allies, our team seeks diverse learning and networking opportunities.
In the past two weeks alone, Executive Director Liz Jefferis welcomed two leading experts in their fields to Baypath:

Martha P. Grace, M.A., M.S., J.D., met with our team at the Hopkinton Public Library to discuss links between animal abuse and human violence. As a Professor of Animal Law for the Tufts University Master of Science in Animals and Public Policy Program and a retired Massachusetts Juvenile Court Judge, Martha works tirelessly giving presentations to judges, social workers and animal welfare professionals. We are so grateful to Martha for so generously sharing her expertise, kindness and commitment to improved animal welfare!

Dr. Laura Bunke, John R. Peterson Foundation Shelter Medicine Resident from San Diego Humane Society, toured our shelter and met our animal care and adoption team. San Diego Humane Society is a leader in animal welfare, caring for over 30,000 domestic pets and wildlife each year. We were honored to have a team member from one of the country’s preeminent shelters visit our growing organization and share ideas.
We look forward to expanding our partnerships and embracing animal welfare professional development learning opportunities as 2023 continues!
