Beagles Rescued from Facility that Breeding Facility
Humane Society of United States (HSUS) has been working to remove what would be approximately 4,000 beagles found living in inhumane conditions from a facility that bred dogs for animal testing. The breeding and research facility was found to have dozens upon dozens of repeat violations under the Animal Welfare Care Act. The beagles were born and living in confined, unsanitary conditions likely with little socializing with humans.
On June 25, 2022, Baypath received five of these rescues from HSUS. Meyers (8 years old), Priscilla (8 years old), Wilbert (5 years old), Daisy (4 years old) and Gilbert (1 year old) have all found their forever homes and Baypath was honored to be part of this monumental undertaking to secure homes for these dogs. HSUS is continuing to rescue and transport the beagles to shelters and rescue partners all around the country.
We will follow their journey and trust they will feel unconditional love and kindness for the very first time in their forever homes
