Lauren Dimartino
Lauren began volunteering at Baypath in early 2015 and moved into the role of part time Animal Care Associate in the fall of 2019. In addition to being a cat foster mom and part of the Dog Behavior Team, Lauren assists with daily operation of the shelter including animal adoptions and care. In 2021, she took on the role as Dog Foster Program Coordinator. Lauren has a Baypath alum pup, Clint, and two cats, Gemma and Bailey.
Lauren completed the Fear Free Shelter Program – a program committed to reducing stress in shelter animals. She also completed the Shelter Dog Behavior Mentorship – a three month, 13 module course looking at shelter dog behavior from many of different angles in order to better serve the dogs in our care. Most recently, Lauren completed the Massachusetts Animal Coalition’s AniMatch training – Canine Body Language and Behavior Observation Training. She is an approved AniMatch Behavior Observer.
