Donation Guidelines:
Our wishlists are continuously updated to reflect the shelter’s current needs. You can ship items directly to us or drop them off at our donation table in front of the building.
Please check our Donation FAQ’s below, before donating to ensure that the items you wish to donate are acceptable. We aim to avoid waste and ensure all contributions are beneficial. For items we cannot accept, we provides information on alternative donation locations that may welcome them.

Kitten Shower
Spring marks the beginning of kitten season, and with it, the increased need for foster care supplies. Our Kitten Shower Wishlist is tailored to support our fosters, providing everything from kitten milk replacer and bottles to pellet litter and playful toys.

Q: What items is Baypath unable to accept?
Items We Can Not Accept
- Opened or expired bags of dog and cat food
- Pillows, pillowcases, cushions
- Face cloths, shower mats or rugs
- Clothes (incl bath robes) and shoes
- Crocheted or knitted blankets
- Down comforters
- Car ramps
- Stuffed or memory foam dog beds or pillows
- Used cat trees or scratchers
- Retractable leashes
- Pinch or choke collars
- Broken crates or carriers
- Dog beds
Q: Where can I donate items Baypath does not accept?
Helping Our Community Pets: PJB + Baypath Pet Pantry
While there are certain items we cannot accept, such as opened pet food, or dog bed, we encourage you to consider donating these items to the Pet Pantry at Project Just Because in Hopkinton.
We are proud to partner with Project Just Because to ensure that the pet pantry remains well-stocked, providing essential resources for those in need.

Q: Does Baypath take all types of dog and cat food?
We accept unopened and unexpired dog and cat food, including treats. We appreciate all types and brands.
If there are items we can’t use directly, we’ll share them with our local and transport partners to minimize waste.
Q: Does Baypath accept cat scratchers?
Yes, we take unused cat scratchers!
Q: What linens can Baypath use?
We are able to take clean blankets, sheets, bath towels, hand towels. Please see our wishlist above for more information.
Q: Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?
Absolutely! Please fill in our Donation Drop Off form and you will receive a tax receipt for your records. Thank you!
Hosting a Donation Drive
Whether it’s at your workplace, during a birthday celebration, or you simply want to have fun while making a difference, organizing a donation drive is a powerful way to support the animals at Baypath
- Download or print our current item wishlist
- For collection drive drop-off, we welcome drop off Monday – Friday between 1-4 PM from and Saturday and Sunday between 11 AM to 4 PM. We are happy to assist you during these designated drop-off hours!
- After your donation drive, please fill out our donation drop-off form. This allows us to properly thank you and acknowledge your generous support!
