Katie is our longest tenured team member. She started volunteering at Baypath in 2001. She joined the team as an Animal Care Associate in 2004 and continues the role on a part-time basis. In addition to the daily care and adoptions of our animals, Katie developed and continues to run our Cat Surrender Program, which includes working with local animal controls and rescues, out of state rescues and people who have to relinquish their cats. Katie has two cats, many fish, and one dog, Hercules, who is a Baypath favorite
Katie has completed the Massachusetts Animal Coalition’s AniMatch training – Canine Body Language and Behavior Observation Training. She is an approved AniMatch Behavior Observer and has completed the Fear Free Shelter Program – a program committed to reducing stress in shelter animals. Most recently, Katie completed the Surrender Prevention Certification Workshop given by Dr. Rachel Geller.
