Support our 2022 Spay & Neuter Campaign today!
As Baypath has evolved over the years to include more and more animal welfare services, we have remained committed to the message of reducing overpopulation through spay/neuter awareness and services. We have developed strong partnerships with veterinary partners who share this mission, and, in collaboration with them, we have been able to save lives.
Granted, the pandemic created new challenges for us as some of our veterinary partners were either closed or limited in their services. However, thanks to one of our longstanding partnerships, including Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society’s Catmobile, we were able to keep up with our feline spays and neuters. The Catmobile, led by Dr. Deborah Brady, travels our region offering low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination services.
Spay/neuter clinics like the Catmobile and Baypath’s own Spay/Neuter clinic with VCA Animal Hospitals Westborough are about more than just spay/neuter. They offer a unique opportunity to examine an animal head to toe and potentially uncover other critical health issues that can be treated. That is exactly what happened with Lady Jane, a strikingly gorgeous three-year-old unspayed cat who was surrendered to us in the fall. Dr. Brady examined Lady Jane and discovered a uterine infection, which left untreated can be life-threatening. Thanks to Dr. Brady’s diagnosis,
Lady Jane was able to receive an immediate and comprehensive care plan that got her on the road to recovery. Her foster family nursed her back to health, giving her the love and support she needed, and soon she was ready to be adopted.
Her forever family says, “Lady Jane is doing great! She loves roaming around the house and is quite the cuddler. She’s also getting friendly with her new cat brother, Stu!”
Your contributions to this, our annual Spay/Neuter appeal, help impact the outcome for animals like Lady Jane. The benefit of spaying/neutering goesbeyond combating animal overpopulation: It decreases the chances of cancers, infections, and other medical concerns, leading to the possibility of a longer, healthier life.
Making a gift of $50, $100, or $250 will ensure we can prioritize long-term health for our dogs and cats through spaying and neutering, and related medical needs. Thank you on behalf of Lady Jane and so many others whose lives have been improved while in our care.
Sincerely,
