Strengthening Humane Education: Middlesex Savings Bank’s Support in 2025
Last year, Middlesex Savings Bank’s generous support enabled Baypath Humane Society to enhance our Baypath Educates program, expanding access to critical safety and enrichment resources for children, volunteers, and community members. With their partnership, we provided humane education materials to local schools, libraries, and civic groups—helping to foster a deeper understanding of animal behavior and safe, compassionate interactions with pets.
This year, Middlesex Savings Bank has renewed its commitment to Baypath Educates, enabling us to expand our reach even further. Their 2025 support will allow us to secure 700 copies of Doggie Language by Lili Chin, an invaluable resource that teaches readers how to interpret canine body language. These books will be distributed through our school and library visits, as well as outreach efforts in underserved communities, helping to create a more informed and compassionate society.
Why This Matters
One of the key challenges in animal welfare is ensuring that people—whether children, pet owners, or community members—understand the signals dogs use to communicate. Misinterpretation of dog behavior can lead to fear, negative interactions, and, in some cases, safety concerns.
Through Baypath Educates, we aim to bridge this gap by providing:
