What are the vaccine and testing requirements for this event?

We are requiring that all in-person attendees to the Fur Ball be fully vaccinated by the time of the event. Per the CDC – to ensure adequate time for an immune response to occur, a person is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after completion of a two-dose mRNA series or one dose of Janssen vaccine.

We will be checking vaccine cards at the door and if you are not able to present proof of vaccine (vaccine card or photo of your card) then you will not be permitted to enter. We also encourage you to take a Covid test before attending the event. We thank you for your help with this, as we strive to keep our shelter staff, volunteers, and Fur Ball attendees safe.

I heard there is no sit down dinner. Will there still be food available?

Yes! Though there are no assigned tables, there will be lots of food stations and passed appetizers, as well as yummy desserts. There will be tables all around the ballroom for eating and drinking, scattered so as to allow for more distancing for those who want a little more space while they eat or drink. But don’t worry, you won’t leave hungry!

I heard there is a new format for this event. What can I expect?

Yes! We are trying out a new format this year and we are so excited for you to experience it. We will have more entertainment, more auction items, and more time for dancing and celebrating being together. Think of this event as a mix of Parisian street fair, gala, and fundraiser. Whether you are looking for an evening of dancing with friends, cute photobooth pictures, mimes and living statues, or caricature artists, you can find them all at the Fur Ball this year, along with food, drinks, fabulous auction items, and a chance to dance the night away, together again.

I want to support the Fur Ball and Baypath Humane Society but I just don’t feel comfortable coming to a live event. What other ways are there for me to support this event?

Yes, we have donation items listed, as well as sponsorship opportunities available, starting at $100. We would be thrilled to have your support, even if you don’t feel quite ready to join us in person.
