Celebrating Success: Baypath Works to #ClearTheShelters

As the Clear the Shelters campaign wraps up, we are thrilled to announce that 95 animals found their forever homes during this month-long campaign! This annual campaign, created by NBCUniversal, has been instrumental in highlighting the importance of adopting shelter pets and raising awareness of the ongoing and urgent need for support of shelters nationwide. By adopting, fostering, volunteering or even simply spreading the word, you can help make a difference for shelters like Baypath – and the animals relying on us for a second chance.

Check out some updates from the #BaypathHappyTails that began this past month!

BRAT Cats: Six Harder-to-Place Cats Find Their Forever Homes

In partnership with several Massachusetts animal rescues, Baypath participated in a week-long BRAT cat fee-waived adoption promotion, and we are excited to share that all six of our featured harder to place cats found their loving homes!

Cookie

Cookie, now lovingly renamed “Sesame Cookie,” has settled into her new home wonderfully! She has quickly found her favorite spots, including multiple beds and sunny napping spots, and she absolutely loves having a window to look out of. While she’s still figuring out the cat tower her adopter built for her, she’s already enjoying chasing new toys and zooming around with plenty of space to play. Described as a lovely and talkative new companion, Cookie is happy to have a place to call home!

Dr. Pepper

Dr. Pepper, at nine years old, had been overlooked for a long time due to his diabetes, but this dignified gentleman finally found a family who recognized the joy of adopting a senior pet. His gentle demeanor and endearing quirks won them over, and now Dr. Pepper, or “Doc” as his adopter calls him, is enjoying his golden years surrounded by love. He spent the first few days in his “safe room,” but now he has the run of the house. Doc has proven to be a perfect gentleman, always using his litter box and scratch pad. He loves sleeping in a sunny window and looking out the storm door for signs of his new friends—the bunnies in the yard. We are so thrilled to hear how well Doc is adjusting to his new home!

Judy Hopps

Judy Hopps, our playful and adventurous cat who needed a home that matched her high-energy personality, finally found her forever family. Renamed “Bullah,” she went home with another cat, Nallah (formerly Nazz). They are both settled in and enjoying life in their new home, proving to be the perfect match!

Zeus

Zeus was all smiles as he hopped into the car, eagerly embarking on his journey to his new home. His infectious happiness was a perfect representation of what Clear the Shelters is all about—second chances and new beginnings. We know Zeus will bring endless joy to his new family, and we couldn’t be happier for him!

Calypso

Calypso, now named Charlotte, is settling in fantastically with her new family. She loves to lay outside in the grass and has quickly bonded with her new brothers. Charlotte has already started puppy classes! Charlotte’s future is bright, and we can’t wait to see her continue to grow and thrive.

A Big Thank You to Our Community

This year’s Clear the Shelters campaign was more than just a drive to reduce adoption fees – it was a celebration of the incredible impact of second chances and opening your heart and home to an animal in need. To all our adopters, volunteers, and supporters, thank you for sharing these animals’ stories and making this campaign a success! Your generosity and love have changed lives, not just for the pets adopted but also for the families who welcomed them home. We can’t wait to see all 95 #BaypathHappyTails unfold, and many more to come.
