Currently, we are closed to the public for in-shelter adoptions due to coronavirus. If you are still interested in a dog or a cat that you see online – who is either in shelter or in one of our many foster homes, we ask you to reach out via email@example.com – though you are always welcome to call and have a chat with the staff as well. We will then email you all the information we know about the animal. Then, if you are still interested, we will email you an application. Once we receive the application back, we can process it and reach out to you to talk more about the animal and answer any additional questions you may have. If both parties think the animal could be a good match, we will discuss next steps.
We understand this is a difficult time, and our process has had to change due to coronavirus. We hope you understand that we are doing the best we can while working with a limited staff, and we appreciate your patience with this different process.

Fortunately, we continue to have a lot of interest in the dogs listed, so we will be accepting up to 3 applications on each dog. We will do our best to match dogs into the households that we think they will do best in. If it does not work out for you to adopt the first dog you are interested in, we will counsel you on other dogs we have in shelter and keep your application on file to help match you with future dogs that come in.
Currently, we are able to facilitate dog meets onsite once an application is approved and a potential match is made. Due to our small facility, we can only facilitate the meets outside– and weather dependent. We send COVID-19 guidelines to you ahead of time regarding the meet in the interest of safety and managing everyone’s expectations.

We will do our best to match cats into the households that we think they will do best in. Currently we are working with a reduced staff, so if you submit an application it may take up to a week to hear from us. If it does not work out for you to adopt the first cat you are interested in, we will counsel you on other cats we have in shelter and keep your application on file to help match you with future cats that come in.
Currently, we are not able to facilitate cat meets due to our small facility. Once an application is approved and a potential match is made, we send the adult cats off foster-to-adopt, which gives you a chance to get to know them before adopting. Our kittens are adopted out directly. We send COVID-19 guidelines to you ahead of time regarding pick up in the interest of safety and managing everyone’s expectations.

Due to the pandemic, our volunteer program is temporarily closed. Our current volunteers are helping us with the animals and we look forward to re-opening the program once we feel it is more safe. Please check back.
We are always in need of fosters, though the need can vary. Please check here for the latest needs and how to apply.
We have been so fortunate to have so many people reaching out to donate supplies to us. We are happy to say we can begin to accept them again down at the shelter. We can accept them between 9 and 4 seven days a week - though we ask that you ideally avoid rainy or snowy days.
We will have tables and signage set up outside for an easy contactless, self-serve donation drop-off to minimize direct contact. (Please no pillows, cushions or large comforters - they anger our washing machine 😂 - and please no broken crates or carriers)
*Please note - we can no longer accept open bags of food or treats - or expired food.
